When Kate was unable to watch after the store (due to voice actor disappearing), she had hired a personal assistant android which started out with a body that resembled a vocaloid to bring in more customers. The first time she was introduced was when Daro (Ninja Mushroom) was looking to re-supply his stock of ninja and training items. At first, Daro did not think much of KateX, but after a while, Daro had grown fond of her so much so the two had grown a strange, almost sibling-like relationship. After which, KateX was a source of Daro's happiness and ease in troubled times.

One day though, a new enemy had appeared, and would battle with KateX. As to who had instigated the fight is hard to say, but the end-result was heart-breaking as KateX's old body was so damaged that it was beyond anyone's ability to repair. Instead, KateX's personality and memories were transferred to a new, more petite model and to this day still continues to work at Kate's Goodies as the only apparent employee of the shop.
